Class Experience

Welcome to my Spanish Summer Camp for children ages 6-10. My program is designed to introduce your child to the Spanish language in a fun and engaging way.
In this class, I will use a variety of interactive activities, games, and crafts to teach your child basic Spanish vocabulary and grammar. I believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged and having fun, so I have designed my curriculum to be both educational and enjoyable.
I believe that learning a new language is a valuable and enriching experience for children, and I am committed to making the process as enjoyable and effective as possible. We welcome children of all language backgrounds and abilities, and we look forward to helping your child develop their Spanish language skills and cultural awareness.

Crafts and languages are excellent activities for children for many reasons:
1. Boosts cognitive development: Learning a new language and participating in crafts can help improve a child's cognitive development, including their problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity skills.
2. Boosts confidence and self-esteem: Learning a new language and creating something through crafts can be challenging, but when children succeed, it can boost their confidence and self-esteem. This can lead to a greater willingness to take on new challenges and a more positive outlook on life.
3. Provides a fun and engaging way to learn: Learning a new language and participating in crafts can be enjoyable and engaging for children. It provides a hands-on, interactive way to learn, which can help children stay interested and motivated.
Overall, crafts and languages are great activities for children that provide numerous benefits, including cognitive development, communication skills, cultural awareness, confidence and self-esteem, and a fun and engaging way to learn.

Hello, I am Diana Vivas, I am a Kidding Around Yoga certified Instructor and an Official Zümbini Instructor. I have been helping families for more than 15 years organizing routines that included creative movement, math, reading and listening comprehension, when I looked for a Mindful and movement program to incorporate in my activities I noticed there weren’t many for younger children so I decided to get certified in Yoga for Children and Zümbini and teach it myself. I work with children using hands on exploration through social interaction and play, encouraged by music and using nature to help children learn about their environment.
During my College years, I worked for a language company in Colombia (CIL), I was trained by the owner in a conversational teaching method to teach ESL and Spanish to foreigners. It was a great opportunity to learn hands on how to teach others to communicate in other languages, how to teach children both in English and Spanish and how to be a bridge of knowledge in every subject that I was Certified. It was such a wonderful experience that I kept working for them for more than 8 years giving me great training in handling English and Spanish classes, I now use that experience and the fact that I am a native Spanish speaker to share what I know with children and to help them cope with anxiety and stress through mindfulness and music.
Even though my mayor is in International Business, my passion is working with children and learning along the with them.
