Beginner Level

Welcome to our Beginner Spanish Communication Skills class! In this 5 weeks summer course, I will equip learners with essential tools for real-life communication, focusing on vocabulary, grammar, conversation, and pronunciation. Whether you're a beginner or have previous Spanish experience, this course offers a dynamic and engaging learning experience.

Topics Covered:

Throughout the course, we'll delve into a wide range of topics to enrich your Spanish language proficiency:

Vocabulary: From numbers 0 to 100, days, months, seasons to school supplies, summer, and animals, you'll expand your vocabulary and enhance your ability to express yourself in various contexts.

Grammar: Master the fundamentals of Spanish grammar, including gender, articles, regular present tense.

Communication: Learn essential communication skills such as greetings and farewells, and discussing daily routines. Develop the confidence to engage in everyday conversations with ease.

Class Structure:
Each session will be conducted via live Zoom sessions, providing a dynamic and interactive learning environment. Our classes are structured to ensure ample opportunities for students to practice the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Teaching Style:
I employ a communicative approach to teaching, where learning occurs through active participation and engagement. Expect a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where your progress is my top priority.

Interactive Learning:
Learners will actively interact with both the instructor and classmates through various activities, including:

Games: Fun and interactive games to reinforce learning and make the lessons enjoyable.
Songs: Engaging songs to enhance vocabulary retention and pronunciation skills.
Conversations: Practice real-life dialogues and scenarios to improve conversational fluency.
Hands-on Exercises: Writing tasks and reading comprehension activities to strengthen language proficiency.

Dear Parents/Guardians, As part of our commitment to providing engaging and interactive learning experiences for your child in our Spanish online class, we utilize various third-party tools to enhance their educational journey. These tools have been carefully selected to complement our curriculum and foster active participation. The following tools may be incorporated into our interactive activities: Kahoot: Kahoot is a game-based learning platform that allows students to participate in quizzes, discussions, and surveys. No login or email is required from the students. They will be provided with a class code to join and complete assignments. Padlet: Padlet is a virtual bulletin board where students can collaborate, and showcase their work. Students will receive instructions on how to access and contribute to Padlet activities using a class code. Nearpod: Nearpod is an interactive presentation platform. Nearpod may be utilized for interactive lessons and real-time assessments. Students will be guided on how to access Nearpod activities using a class code provided during our sessions. It is important to note that these third-party tools are carefully selected to ensure they adhere to strict privacy and security guidelines. We prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, and all activities involving these tools will be closely monitored by our instructor. No parental guidance is required for students to use these tools, as they will be provided with clear instructions and support during our sessions.
