Class Experience

In this online live course, students will expand on their Scratch programming skills, make games and solve programming problems, and learn to use a programmable micro:bit to add a hardware component to their Scratch creations.
Each lesson has an additional challenge for students to improve their project after the class meeting. Students may work on final projects outside of class time.

Technical Requirements: Please purchase a microbit from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HJPBGMX/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_BK8D7TV4TBVYBCGV71SC PC (Windows 10) or Mac (macOS 10.13) or ChromeOS with at least a 2GHz processor and 2GB of RAM (4GB of RAM is recommended). Bluetooth Broadband internet with at least 1.8Mbps download and 900Kbps upload speeds Webcam - Either external or built-in (many laptops have an integrated camera). Microphone and Speakers - We recommend headphones with an integrated microphone
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
