In this ongoing online course, learners will be introduced to concepts in physics, chemistry, and biology that will give them a taste of high school science classes.
Class experience
This six-week course will introduce learners to concepts in physics, chemistry, and biology. There will be a two week focus on each field of science. Week of April 3rd - Gravity and Scientific Method of Experiments (Physics) We will cover the calculations associated with gravity. We will have fun doing gravity experiments (dropping things) and discussing the scientific method of writing up experiments. We will discuss what worked and did not work in the experiments and what the results...
Learners will gain an introductory understanding of physics, chemistry, and biology. Younger learners may take away some concepts and still be pondering some of the concepts. Older learners will be given a very good introduction to be well prepared for higher grades in high school. The hope is that learners learn basic concepts in these fields and get excited to know that there are lots of amazing new things to learn.
