Hello, I am Ms Alla, a native Russian speaker offering your child a Russian language class for beginners (13 to 17 years old). I love to play games and have funny conversations. This is a an ongoing online basic Russian class. All sessions will be recorded and posted and materials provided. Your learner will have homework to practice some skills. I teach following topics: -Greet people and make small talk -Create and answer simple questions about family, place and age -Use adjectives in order to describe people, places, and things -Use common verbs in the present tense -Discuss food and meals -Talk about family members -Count up to 20 -Discuss colors in a conversation -Learn domestic and wild animals I also demonstrate one Russian salad with beets (vinegret). I discuss the culture of Russia and share interesting facts and stories. I use Kahoots, Blooket, Gimkit and Pear desk software to practice the grammar and vocabulary checking for understanding. Additionally, I created some Nearpod Interactive Slides and Activities. All Slides include videos and audio files to practice in free time. #funRussianClass #onlineRussian #LearnRussian #academic

Currently, she teaches high school math in Ridgely, MD, where she’s passionate about making math engaging and accessible to students of all levels.
In addition to her classroom teaching, Alla shares her love for Russian culture through Outschool, offering classes like Mysteries of Russia — a fresh and popular course that sparks curiosity about her homeland.
