Class Experience

Join me for this fun weekly class! During class, students will be presented with questions that really get their brain gears moving. Some question examples are: "What if you could only eat one food for the rest of your life? What would it be and why?", "What if dinosaurs still existed? Can you describe what it would look like living among dinosaurs?", or "If you could make water smell like anything, what would it smell like?" These questions not only stimulate our brains but they also help us strengthen our social skills! Students will be get to practice taking turns, listening, and using their manners as they all take turns throughout class. They will also get a boost in confidence as they practice speaking in front of others! Students also get to practice verbalizing imagery as they explain their answers to the questions.

Example of weekly questions:
4/4-4/10: "You need to cross a river but there's no bridge and you have no boat. How will you cross it?"
4/11-4/17: "What would you do if you had a unicorn as a pet?"
4/18-4/24: "You visit a magical forest! Tell us about your trip."
4/25-5/1: "If you could have eyes like any animal, what animal would you choose?"
*Please note that these are a list of an example of one question asked during the class. We do other questions as well. The amount of questions we get through during our class varies depending on class size and interaction.

This class does better with more than one student, for peer interaction purposes, but will still be held if only one student is enrolled.

Please make sure your student is using a device with a working camera. I ask that all learners turn their camera on once at the beginning of class for verification purposes, per Outschool Policy. After verifying, students can turn off the camera if they are more comfortable with it being off.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Brianne. I am so excited to be teaching on the Outschool platform, and even more excited to meet your learner! I have a 120-hour TESOL certificate, which allows me to teach English as a secondary language. I also homeschool my own two children. Many of my classes are focused on strengthening social skills by learning to be patient, listening to others, taking turns, following directions, using manners, and being respectful all while having fun! I hope to see your learner soon!
