Beginner Level
📍Week 4 of the Summer Spanish Camp, if your learner has no Spanish experience, I recommend my Week 1 Introduction Camp**** In this 4 day camp for beginners, students will learn the basics of the Spanish language. This class is for students with some experience with Spanish. We will practice the pronunciation as a group and then I will ask each student to repeat the vocabulary after me, giving each students individual attention and meeting their level. It will be a bilingual class English/Spanish. The material will be sent after class and includes a video to help students practice the pronunciation and an exercise to practice the written part. If a student can't attend a class, the video will provide all the tools to practice the concepts and the pronunciation taught during each class. Each class will have an exercise to be completed after class to help students practice the written part. The activities and games will cover previous classes to keep practicing each week with lots of repetition. *****CLASS RECORDING POLICY : I do not share recordings of my group classes in order to protect the privacy of all learners (many parents do not feel comfortable with other families having access to videos that include their child and many students feel uncomfortable having others watch how they make mistakes). **During the last 5 to 10 minutes of class, students will review the vocabulary using interactive games from a website called "Blooket" or Educapla,. Students Do Not need to create an account, just a parent permission to Blooket.com/play and use a Game ID that I will screen share, or use the link that I will provide in the chat. Students will have an optional written homework through an app called Wizer.me. Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano
During my University years, I worked for a language company in Colombia (CIL), I was trained by the owner in a conversational teaching method to teach ESL and Spanish to foreigners. It was a great opportunity to learn hands on how to teach others to communicate in other languages, how to teach children both in English and Spanish and how to be a bridge of knowledge in every subject that I was Certified in. It was such a wonderful experience that I kept working for them for more than 8 years giving me vast training in handling English and Spanish classes, I now use that experience and the fact that I am a native Spanish speaker to share what I know with children and to help them cope with anxiety and stress through mindfulness.
Even though my mayor is in International Business, my passion is working with children and learning along the with them.
