I am licensed in Early Childhood Education. I taught preschool and kindergarten literacy for years, and I taught my own son how to read in English, Spanish, and French. I am also currently a one-on-one ESL teacher (English as a Second Language), where I teach young children to read through phonics and sight words.
On days when we don't have class, briefly review a few previously-learned sounds and sight words with an adult. Look and listen for the sight words that we have practiced in-class while you read books, listen to shows, or are out around town as a family.
Students will need a notebook and pencils or markers to write and draw.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Outschool asks that I explain that the movements referenced in the title and description are just hand movements -- you don't particularly need a special area or clothes or extra water. This is not an exercise class.
