45 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Our first task will be to draw a cute drawing of Pusheen in outer space. Students need little experience for this class because I will make sure to show all the shapes and colors needed to be incorporated into the drawing. I will make sure to pace myself and explain each step of the drawing process including how I color the drawing. If students are comfortable, students will share their drawings with the class and discuss how they added their own personal style to their drawing. Students can use markers, colored pencils, or crayons to color in their drawings. Our second task will be to play some fun Pusheen games! The first game will be a scavenger hunt. Students are to find a list of items related to outer space and bring it back to show the class. The final game will be "Would You Rather" based on outer space Pusheen characters. I will make sure to create a positive environment for all the students to be comfortable in sharing and discussing within the class. My main goal for this class would be to make sure students express themselves through art and to have fun.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! my name is Lasamee and I live in Georgia. I am currently enrolled in my senior year of college and my major is Early Childhood Education. I always had a passion for kids ever since my little brother and sister were born and want to continue my journey at Outschool! I have been volunteering and interning for 5 years at different elementary schools from grades K-5. I absolutely love to create hands-on activities, teach music, and teach reading and writing. I love to paint, color, and create crafts that help children think outside of the box. I also have been playing piano for 8 years and have been taking private lessons for 5 years. I have taken Chorus classes from 3rd grade through high school and continue to exercise my talents. I love to help children grow in reading, writing, math, and science. I also have experience teaching Chinese in China with grades K-1st grade. I have taken Elementary Chinese 1 and 2 in college and I am now expanding the language with my Chinese mother at home. I believe that scaffolding will help students grow the most in learning because it is important for children to grow independence. As a future educator, teachers are always looking for ways to learn how to motivate students. Being able to cultivate activities and practices into the classroom will help students grow the love for learning. I am very passionate to help your child grow in what they love to do and inspire them to reach their goals!
