We will review all of the first grade math objectives: place value, expanded form, math fact families (number bonds), double-digit addition, double-digit subtraction, time, geometry, money, skip counting, and measurement/data every week!

Class Experience
Goals include: -expressing numbers in standard and written form, expanded form, base ten blocks -understand place value: ones, tens, bundles of tens -understand the relationship between addition and subtraction (math fact family) -skip count to 50 by 2s, 5s, 10s -add/subtract double-digit numbers -compare lengths, represent, and interpret data -telling time on a digital and analog clock to the hour, half hour -learn the value of coins and use skip counting/addition skills to find the value -review 2D and 3D shapes, composing/decomposing circles/rectangles, halves/quarters/whole -ability to solve different types of word problems using addition and subtraction
There is no homework for class.
The learners will need to print some worksheets at home. They should always have a notebook and pencil. I will send out an email ahead of time if materials are needed for the next class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will check in with the parents if the learner is struggling in a specific area. I always welcome questions/comments during the semester.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
