Class Experience

In this 45 minute lesson, we will create drawings based on a different mythological creature each week. We will try some fun drawing techniques such as shading, hatching and creating shapes to make our own masterpieces. We will also explore using colour with coloured pencils. The different themes we will explore will include unicorns, fairies, wizards and more! We will go through each step of the drawing together using techniques which are completely beginner friendly, no drawing experience needed! This class is great for beginners who would like to try some fun and easy drawing activities in a fun and friendly classroom. This class is 100% ESL friendly and I encourage English language learners to join.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a TESOL certified Teacher and Visual Artist from Australia with over five years of experience teaching privately, in schools and online. Throughout my career I have worked with students from all over the world and I have enjoyed developing my skills while working with learners from many different age groups and nationalities.

I began my teaching journey after studying Visual Art at Adelaide College of the Arts, providing arts and crafts workshops to adolescents in my hometown and teaching life drawing at a local art studio.
While living in Spain I taught arts and crafts workshops in Summer camps and in primary schools which enabled me to bridge language barriers with a variety of creative activities.
Throughout my time teaching I also exhibited my artwork in galleries around Spain.

As an Art Teacher I aim to create a fun and supportive environment for all of my students, a place where they can feel free to express themselves creatively and most importantly, where there is no such thing as a mistake!
