Class Experience
Welcome to my class! My lessons are best for 4-5 year old emerging learners! Intermediate or experts may not be so excited about this class level. I am gentle and patient towards all learning needs. My aim is to provide your family with an enjoyable experience. My style is gentle, kind, patient, encouraging, engaged, professional, fun, and ready to work with you. Weekly supplies: 1. Playdough, food item to count (10 pieces), non-food item to count (10 pieces), worksheet, crayons. Examples- mini cookies, cereal, mini blocks, crayons. (Parental guidance) Sequence: Week of 2/15 Adding numbers 0-5 -Intro to friends and signs -Activity sheet 1, crayons/markers/etc. -Equations with objects (you choose small items i.e, cars, crayons, small figures, puzzle pieces etc. -Edible, snack equations Week of 2/22- Adding numbers 5-10 with manipulatives -Intro to friends and signs -Activity sheet 2, TWO child-safe shallow bowls or cups that accommodate small objects to count -Edible, snack equations Week of 3/1- Adding and Subtracting numbers 0-10 with manipulatives -Intro to friends and signs -Activity sheet 3, crayons/markers/etc. -Equations with objects (you choose small items i.e, cars, crayons, small figures, puzzle pieces etc. -Edible, snack equations Week of 3/8- Adding and Subtracting numbers 0-10 with manipulatives
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- Google Slides
- Youtube song 1min or less
- BenSound
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
We may use any of the following for this class: Counters like buttons or beads, cubes etc. Parents may choose one of the following or more. foods, wheat, corn, nuts, seeds, cereal, soy, ANY FOODS, Please choose allergen free foods for your learner Foods that may contain allergens like gluten or dairy External slideshow of pictures, colors, letters, words.
