This class introduces basic French vocabulary: greetings and goodbyes, counting, colors, family, food, body parts, seasons, and weather. The students will learn to speak the culture of French-speaking countries and basic pronunciation. The lessons will introduced using songs, games, projects, and cartoons. Handouts will be provided for review and opportunity for self-expression. The teacher will present the material by slides. The students will be able to ask the teacher and their peers questions. Each lesson will start by reviewing the material learned in the previous class. Then the teacher will present the new material, and the students will practice new vocabulary, answering questions, making dialogues in break-out rooms, and playing quizlets or kahoot games. Week 1. My passion is to teach French and Russian. I am certified French teacher in grades 5-12.
I graduated from State Pedagogical University of Foreign Languages with French. I am enrolled at Master degree program at Colorado State University, Pueblo. I have more that 15 years experience teaching French and Russian. I taught French in private and public schools in Massachusetts. I worked with elementary, middle and high school students.
My classes are fun and interactive. The students are making dialogues, playing games, singing songs, doing projects and reading the stories. As I learn new methods, I constantly modify my teaching methods in a search of the most optimal way to help students acquire language.
