This will be a fun and engaging lesson where students dive into the world of historical idioms to determine the meaning behind the quote. The students will discuss the historical meaning behind quotes and idioms through a PowerPoint created by the teacher to enable visual representation. Students will be able to freely discuss their own ideas and the actual meaning together as a collective group. This lesson will be relaxed and fun but also a way to provide a bit of history to many sayings...
Students will learn through respectful discussion and Power Point visuals.
Paper and pencil, colored pencils, crayons should the student want to draw or write during the lesson.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
