Feel free to wear a costume if you would like, as long as it is not too scary! In this one-time class, we will be discussing the history of halloween. This class is for elementary ages, and we will not get too spooky. We will discuss trivia and facts regarding halloween, such as: why we wear costumes, why we trick or treat, etc... We will also discuss the Salem Witch Trials in an age-appropriate manner, such as what they were , and how it started. Thyere will be questions and answers. We will use powerpoint and video. We will also play games. Students will interact through games and/or questions and answers. There is no prior knowledge needed.

Parental Guidance
There should be minimal scariness in this class, other than costumes in the video, but they are fairly mild. Masks are welcome, however, masks should be removed for identification during the first four minutes of class to meet safety and privacy policies. Please note that costumes will be vetted by the educator to ensure that they meet Outschool standards (secular, age-appropriate, etc.).
