US Grade Preschool - 1
In Ms. Julie and Pippa's classes, our focus is on keeping kids connected, engaged, learning and smiling. On fun adventure days, we learn through songs, dances, dramatic and imaginary play. Feel free to jump into the class at any point in its run; we'll do something new each week, so your learner won't be behind if they didn't start at the beginning. We will follow the same schedule in every 30-minute class: - 👋🎶 Sing hello and check on our friends' feelings - 💭🎯 Learn something new! - 🪩 Move and groove to a theme-based wiggle-buster song - 🤪 Play a fun and silly game (dramatic play) - 📚 Read and interact with a theme-related story - 🗣️💭 Share out with friends - 👋🎶 Sing a goodbye song Our class will include lots of movement, so students will benefit from the ability to get out of their seats and move around in a space at least large enough to spin with their arms out. ⏰ Please note that my classes may go about 5 minutes over the 30-minute class time limit. I always prioritize student voice, and like to allow class to flow naturally, which means timing is not always predictable. If you need to leave right at the end of class, that's always ok! I'll often offer to say goodbye and stick around with those students who are able. 🤫 To limit background noise and distraction, students will be muted unless it is their turn to talk. 🔇 As a teacher, I am only able to request that your learner unmute; I cannot unmute them myself! 📢 If your child is unable to reliably unmute their microphone, please stay close by so that you can assist. I will help children develop this technological literacy as our classes together go forward. 📝🎉 At the end of class, I will provide a themed extension activity to keep the fun times rolling throughout your day, wherever it may take you. Feel free to sign up for one class at a time, or to join each Friday for some extra fun before the weekend!
