This is a social, interactive class to help children de-stress and let loose by having a little fun on Friday evenings. We will do different activities each week, so you may jump in and out whenever you want. We will start each day with a "circle time" discussion. Students will be able to share about how their week went. Next, we will move into an activity, challenge, or game. For example: "Minute to Win it" challenges, Pictionary or Charades, Categories Game, Chubby Bunny game,...
Students will learn how to let loose and have fun in a virtual setting. This class was inspired by my niece, who just started her Virtual Learning with her school. She expressed a desire to have some fun, social time with her friends.
No homework required, but I may request for students to bring something to class some days. This could require some type of preparation, depending on the student.
Supplies needed will include common household items or school materials: straws, spoons, marshmallows, fruit loops, cups, pipe cleaners, paper and pencil, etc.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment. I may update parents with feedback on student behavior and participation.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Other websites may be used . For example: Kahoot, Skribbl, or nearpod. These will be shared through a link and may only require a code that I will share with students to be able to interact or participate. They may need to do this on a separate device.
