The children will be taught in french foods to bring on a picnic with their friends. Some examples are cheese, potato chips, soda drinks, and apples. These foods as well as others will be covered by introducing the words in french, and having students repeat them. I will then go on to tell the story which I will present to them in sentence form in the french language. Repetition of the french presented is essential in the learning process. Students will have a great deal of interaction with the teacher and other students. No previous knowledge is required by the student.
Learning Goals
The students will learn new vocabulary words relating to picnic. They will repeat the words after me. I will ask questions individually and as a group. Examples are ( what is it?), ( how many?) , ( what colour is it? ) .
We will also have some thumbs up and thumbs down games which we will play individually and as group . I am using the interactive method.
