In this one time class, students will use a crayon resist technique designing their own Tie Dye design.
Class experience
In this lesson, students will be able to create a crayon resist tie dye design using watercolor. I will be discussing the elements of art as we draw and paint and I will teach basic watercolor techniques, hints, and tricks. I will first do a directed drawing of the actual design using crayon while the students follow along. We will then go over our entire design with watercolor paint to fill in all of the empty space.
