Fun Creative Week Long Writing Camp

In this fun, five day writing camp, students will explore the genre of creative writing.  
Day 1:  Introductions
            Paint a Picture for the Reader
            Synonym Activity
            Adjective Activity
            Complete Writing Prompts

Day 2   The Elements of a Fable and History
            Oral Fables Will be Told to the Campers
            The Campers Will Write a Twist or an Original Fable

Day 3   The History of the Fairy Tale 
             Oral Fairy Tales Shared with the Campers
             The Elements of a Fairy Tale
             The Campers will Create a Twist or Compose an Original Fairy Tale

Day 4     The History of the Folk Tale
              Examples of Folk Tales will be Orally Told to the Campers
              The Elements of a Folk Tales
              The Campers will Compose a Twist or an Original Tall Tale

Day 5     The Terminology of a Short Story
               The Plot Line
               How to Make a Realistic Character
               The Campers will Design a Realistic Character

Writings will be shared if the camper wishes to read their creation. I teach in a relaxed manner.  Prior Knowledge.  The learner should be able to write a paragraph and have spelling ability appropriate to their age range.  Please bring paper and pencil to class.  Each day, after class a summary of the Camp Topic and lesson will be posted in the classroom.  This camp is of the most benefit if your learner is interactive.  If they do not complete the writing of the day, they are welcome to post their finished work in the classroom where I will give suggestions and feedback.  Class rules:  We mute so we do not talk over each other, we are kind and respectful to everyone, we raise our hand if we have a question or comment.  And, as per the Outschool rules, the camera must be turned on during class so I may verify the learner.
