Class Experience
A student will learn specific math skills and have individual math assessment of his/her progress at the current grade level. To insure the student has fun and feels relaxed, a balance of math games, assessments and instructional lessons will be part of any session. Homework topics can be reviewed and taught. Completion of tasks will vary dependent upon the quantity of work assigned and students work habits and pacing.
I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have taught intervention classes for grades K-5 and worked as a classroom teacher for all subjects in grades 4 and 5 for over 10 years. Received the award for 5th Grade Teacher of the Year by my local Boys and Girls Club.
There will be no additional work.
Whiteboard, dry erase marker and eraser (an old sock works great!), pens and paper.
A learner will be informally assessed on an ongoing basis to insure he/she is making progress on specific math skill.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
