Fun, Certified Teacher for Private Math Tutoring, Book for Fall Now, Gr 2-6

This class will focus upon providing your child with an overview of key topics in the 2nd-6th grade math curriculum.  A purposeful mix of assessment, math games, and instructional strategies will be provided to insure that the student has fun and is engaged. Lessons may focus upon such topics as addition, subtraction, place value, multiplication, division, fractions, measurement or geometry aligned with the child's needs. Lessons will meet the students where they are at in their learning and work toward building skills in a specific grade level.  Lessons are designed based upon grade level common core standards. Laughter, smiles and sharing ideas encouraged.

What can you expect the class to be like?
*Introduction, greeting, and a sure to be funny - math joke of the week 
*Warm up activity or game to build math confidence 
*Math lessons/tutoring based on grade level math curriculum with adjustments above and below as needed by each student. 
*Math games throughout session to engage student and provide mental breaks while assessing understanding.
*Closing discussions
