Description

Class Experience

1. Students have fun pretending to be animals.
2. Students learn how easy to match animals to most letters and the yoga poses. 
3. Gives students get a chance to be a little noisy when we act out the animals.
4. Allows for creativity in creating new poses
5. Develops literacy growth in my students as we explore the alphabet and animals that match the letters.
6. Provides a physical connection to yoga through animals and letters of the alphabet
7. Enhances students connection to their mind and body using yoga poses.
I am a certified Yoga Alliance yoga teacher.  I also a certified wellness coach and meditation guide. I love yoga and I love sharing it along with all of its benefits with my students. 
Students are encouraged to practice their yoga poses during the week and think of animals for the next week’s letters.

Please have a lightweight soft scarf available for the breathing exercise. Please have a soft toy to use in the "quiet time" at the end of class. Students should have a yoga mat or a towel for class. If you are using a towel please make sure it is not on a slippery surface. Bare feet is preferable as it allows for a better grip. But if you would like to wear socks please make sure they are yoga style socks with grip points on the sole. Please have water available and loose clothing for movement.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please also note: yoga is a physical activity and injuries can occur if children aren't supervised. Thank you.
