In this multi-day class that meets once a week for three weeks, students will learn how to make a drawing of a colorful, unique dragon’s eye! Follow along as I have one camera on me and one on my hands so students can see me working as they learn! Class and teaching style is fairly casual allowing for chatting and conversation between steps. Students will be able to customize their project with the colors of their choice as well as any other details and ideas they have, including scale shape/size, pupil shape, reflections, etc! Possibilities are endless! During the first class, we will sketch and finalize our dragon eyes and in the second and third class we will focus on coloring in with oil pastels and learning a fun blending technique using baby oil and q-tips! No previous experience with oil pastels is necessary.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Alanna Knight and I love teaching art! I'll be listing classes for drawing, clay, paper mache, and more! I've taught as an art teacher for five years before this and due to COVID concerns I have brought my teaching online for the time being. I'm so excited to get started with the possibilities of this new format and am so ready to meet and work with new students! I love to get students interested in art based on their interests - over the years, I've been able to make connections in the classroom using some of my "geekier" interests like Harry Potter, Pokemon, anime, dungeons and dragons, video games, and more!
