Class Experience

During this one time class, students will gather together to learn about letter, numbers (and more) all while having fun with unicorns and rainbows!

Schedule will be similar to the following:

1. Greeting/How are you? Students will say hello to the teacher and one another. Students will be asked an "ice-breaker" question where they get the opportunity to share with the class.
2. Numeracy Activities: Students will play number games by counting different rainbow and unicorn themed objects.
3. Song Activity: Students will listen to a color song and hold up the colors in the song (please provide your children with a variety of colored objects and/or crayons). A 2 minute YouTube video will be shown, with the activity guided by the teacher as well (permission has been granted by the publisher).
4. Show and share: Students can share an object of their choosing that is either rainbow themed (any color) or unicorn themed!
5. Literacy activity. Students will learn a few different unicorn related letters!
4. Goodbye everyone!

Parents, please assist your child off camera when needed. I try to allow the children to keep their microphones on at all times as I want the children to be able to answer questions and interact with one another; because of this, please find a quiet space in your house for your child to take class. If there is a lot of background noise I will ask that you mute and unmute your child during class time. Thank you for understanding :)

A little about me:
I work fulltime as an elementary school teacher at a private academic school. I have my certification in special needs education, my bachelor’s degree in elementary education as well as my masters in early childhood development. I have over 7 years of teaching and specialize in early elementary (teaching students between 4 and 8 years old). Teaching is my absolute passion and I put my heart into everything I do.

Students are strongly encouraged to participate in class discussion and will be asked questions during class time. However, if a child is not comfortable sharing they will not be forced. As an early childhood educator I understand that students will share when they are ready!
