In this weekly club, learners will doodle, paint, sticker, cut and paste, and socialize with other artists while making a unique log of memories, goals, and accomplishments. We'll share tips, tricks and learn cool ways to fill blank space.

Welcome to Art Journaling! I'm Christi, a graphic designer, artist, gamer, maker, cat mom and hobby baker! I love to doodle my everyday life in art journals, and I would love for you to join me. A lot of what I do is visual journaling: part journal, scrapbook, sketchbook, gratitude, self expression, and relaxation- it's all included in art journaling. Together we will cut and paste, doodle, draw, paint, and craft our way from blank page to finished journal entry that is a work of art and exploration. I will teach learners how to get started on a blank page, how to set up different layouts, what to include, how to feel the flow, and use simple doodles to fill blank spaces. While we create, we will socialize and connect! My style is relaxed, silly, supportive, and inclusive. I believe everyone is creative, and that creativity is our magic. I can't wait to journal with you and support your art! Class content and discussion will be learner directed based on their interests each week but will include instruction on doodling, journaling, the use of art supplies that the learner has on hand or would like to find out about, and art journaling.

Parental Guidance
YouTube will be used to provide examples of various art journals and styles of art journaling. No account is required, it will simply be used as a screen share function from me.
Canva will be used as an art reference tool to show examples that may be used in art journaling. It will be used as a screen share function from me. If learners have their own Canva account, they are welcome to share their images from Canva as well, but this is not required at all.
Supply List
There are no required items for this class! I do often use and highly recommend paint pens (I specifically use POSCA paint pens), a sketchbook made of multi-media paper, highlighters, stickers, glue, mod podge, pen and pencil. You learner can bring any items they have available to them and will learn what they want to use moving forward as they work.
