Description
Class Experience
Learners will need the following supplies: round cake or dummy cake made of styrofoam icing spatula cake plate or round cardboard frosting (store bought or see recipe below) icing bags or ziploc bags icing tips (optional) space to practice piping (table space or cookie sheet) Homemade Frosting Recipe: 1/2 cup butter, softened 4 1/2 (4.5) cups confectioners' sugar 1 1/2 (1.5) teaspoons vanilla extract 5 or 6 tablespoons 2% milk hand-held mixer spatula mixing bowl 1. Mix the softened butter in a mixing bowl with a hand-held mixer until smooth. 2. Add all other ingredients and fold in with a spatula. 3. Mix with a hand-held mixer until smooth. *Frosting can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer if made ahead of time*
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
