Full-Year Geography Course - Middle School - Fun and Interactive!

In this 36-week course, students will learn a high-level overview of all things geography. Countries, oceans, mountain ranges, landforms, volcanoes, weather patterns, etc.

Class Experience

This is a fun and interactive class where students will cover a high-level overview of an entire school year's worth of geography lessons! My goal is not only to teach students about geography but to leave them with a deeper understanding of how we are connected to the world around us.


Lessons will include landforms, weather patterns, country studies, oceans, and much more!

Classes are composed of video lessons, slideshows, detailed pictures, games, and conversation! No homework will be provided, but weekly notes will be added to the classroom page if students wish to do extra review work at home. 

September: Landforms - Mountains, hills, plateaux, plains, canyons, caves, valleys, and basins.

October: Bodies of water - Oceans, lakes, rivers, ponds, glaciers, waterfalls, and beaches.

November: Continents - Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, Australia. Time zones.

December: Weather patterns - Tornados, tsunamis, drought, earthquakes, northern lights, hail, ice storms, landslides, lightning, wildfire, severe winter weather.

January: Oceans (Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Southern, and Arctic.) Underwater landforms: Coral reefs, continental shelf, continental slope, oceanic trench. - We'll also spend one week learning about the weird and unusual sea creatures! 

February: The seven wonders of the world, seven wonders of the ancient world, seven wonders of the modern world, seven wonders of the natural world.

March: Our solar system 

April: World climate, vegetation, and resources. Rainforests, deserts, oil, coal, minerals, natural gas, wind and solar energy sources.

May: Land use - Farms, agriculture, wind farms, fish farming, pollution, global warming: green living tips and tricks!
