Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
Beginner Level
✨️ Join us anytime throughout the school year! No experience necessary. ✨️

In this full year (September-May) class, students ages 7-10 will have a blast learning beginner vocabulary and conversational Spanish! As an ongoing class, meeting one time per week, concepts will be taught through repetition, practice conversations, interactive slides, video clips, games, and hands-on activities. The curriculum is infused with culture, bringing the language to life and allowing learners to experience the Spanish speaking world.

For elementary students, learning Spanish is more than just acquiring a new skill—it's an adventure that opens doors to new cultures, perspectives, and opportunities. My approach to teaching Spanish is designed to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to the developmental needs of young learners. In my classroom, we begin interacting in the target language right away, gradually increasing the student's confidence through listening, speaking, reading, and writing exercises. Each student will be able to repeat vocabulary covered to ensure proper pronunciation and understanding.

Each class will introduce a new beginner topic in Spanish and can be a stand alone class. Learners may come and go as their schedule allows, as long as there are available spaces upon enrollment. No prior Spanish knowledge is necessary, so feel free to join at any point! Printables and resources will be posted in the classroom at the beginning of each week. Optional homework and extra practice are available.

The engaging curriculum is designed to fit the needs of the elementary beginner Spanish student. Vocabulary and sentence structure presented is both practical and useful for real world conversations. The small group class setting fosters a positive, encouraging, and collaborative learning environment. Our content promotes cultural awareness and appreciation.

Give your child the foundation necessary to be a successful second language learner ¡Aprendamos juntos! Let's learn together! 🌎 📚
