This is a circle-time type class, where students are encouraged to talk and participate! We will be learning a different theme each week. The themes are listed below. All learning for that week will be focused on that theme. We will be learning different subjects that are related to the preschool/pre-kindergarten age such as: letters, counting and colors. The students will be able to have show and tell each week to become more involved in their learning! We will sing songs and have...
Each week, students will learn a letter and a number. They will be able to talk about the theme with the teacher. They will be able to have a show and tell where they will share an item that is about the theme for the week. They will be able to sing the song about the theme for the week. They will be able to introduce themselves to the teacher. They will be able to answer questions about our weekly theme.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching children for over 10 years. I have worked at various preschools, the last being the lead teacher of a 3-5 year old classroom. I have been homeschooling my two preschoolers the last two years. I have worked as an online ESL teacher for the last year, working mainly with younger children.
The teacher will send worksheets home with the children to do outside of class. The students can do this outside of class time with their parents or by themselves.
Each week will be different materials: Printouts on various days (scroll through on discussion board and print what needs to be printed). I will post what is needed for crafts/experiments the Friday before class. All material is optional. Items for show and tell. These are also optional, but will be listed the Friday before class. When joining our class for the first time, you typically won't be able to see the classroom items. I will send you a message after you join our class with the materials for the week! :)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 5 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
