Class experience
During this session students will be taught the importance of a positive self-image and that there are things we can do to increase our confidence. Students will discuss the acronym I.M.A.G.E., define self-image, self-esteem, and confidence, and identify 4 positive self attributes. Students will increase their understanding on the importance of self-esteem and ways to maintain a positive self-image.
As a life-skills instructor with over 10 years of experience positive self-image has always been included in my curriculum. I currently facilitate workshops with the public school system, public library system, churches, and youth organizations. Confidence is a critical key to success. Many adolescents need reinforcement on what they can do to improve their confidence and maintain a positive self-image. This class is interactive, it allows for discussion, it is open to all students, and provides participants actionable ways to increase self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-image such as journaling, maintaining good personal hygiene, and much more.
