Hi everyone! Welcome to my Penguin Math Class!! In this weekly class, we have A LOT of fun and also do A LOT of counting! Having fun while learning math is a wonderful way to retain the information being taught. Below is what you can expect from my 20 minute class. *I have used this class format in our local homeschool coop multiple times and have received wonderful feedback from the parents and learners. I am so excited to bring it to the Outschool classroom to connect with you and your learner!! Example of a class: 🐧 I have put together an exciting presentation for young learners which includes penguin facts and counting! 🐧 We will read the book “Five Flying Penguins” by Barbara McGrath 🐧 We will sing a catchy counting song that will leave preschoolers wanting to count even after class! 🐧 We will practice being penguins while counting how many times we can flap our wings. 🐧 At the end of class, we will have a show and tell where each learner gets to bring 5 small objects to show their classmates! This is always a favorite among young learners.

As you can find in my bio, I have taught classes for several years in a variety of spaces. The children may change from time to time, but one thing that never changes is that young minds are very impressionable and they love to have fun! This is why my goal in every single class I provide is to have fun with the students. A young learner retains information much better when they are enjoying themselves. Pre-k work sets a child up for life and it is imperative that they find a love for learning at a young age.
