This course is a thorough introduction to realistic portrait drawing that would be both fun and useful for all who love drawing and who'd be interested in understanding how to draw human faces. This course is a very detailed step by step guidance through all the main aspects of realistic drawing, such as composition, shading, hatching techniques, layering and more! Week 1Lesson 1Facial Features at Different anglesWe will learn how to draw facial features at different angles. We will focus on the structure of this features, shading and detailing.Week 2Lesson 2Head Shape and Hair textureWe will learn how to draw head shape at different angles. We will focus on the texture of the hair and adding unique style to the portrait.Week 3Lesson 3Front View PortraitWe will draw a full front view portrait. We will focus on the structure of the face and main shadows. We will learn about a new art supply - graphite powder.Week 4Lesson 4Side View PortraitWe will draw a full side view portrait. We will focus on the creative aspect of drawing portraits, combining different art supplies and themes together to create a unique design.Week 5Lesson 53/4 View PortraitWe will draw a full 3/4 view portrait. We will combine everything we've learned about drawing portraits realistically.Week 6Lesson 6Drawing expressions and quick portrait sketchesWe will learn how to draw portraits quickly and playfully. We will draw 3 full portraits in this lesson.
