In this Flexible Schedule course students will have a chance to learn all the basic drawing techniques while recreating their favorite Ghibli characters and scenes at their own pace. Each week students will have a one or two projects to work on and new drawing techniques to explore. We will be covering basics on understanding anatomy and proportions while drawing faces and posture, working on creating a balanced composition, developing a character, combining references, shading, speed...

Week 1Lesson 1Cat Bus from "My Neighbor Totoro"We will learn how to draw animal body parts, such as fur, paws, claws, whiskers and teeth. We will focus on creating a drawing from the basic shapes.Week 2Lesson 2Baron the Cat + draw Jiji the CatWe will further explore drawing animal characters.
