In this one-time class, we will learn how to greet each other with good morning/good afternoon/good evening, how are you, I’m fine thank you. We will be learning and practicing whole language skills. We will not just be learning simple vocabulary. This is full immersion, very little English will be spoken. Children will learn through body language, hand motions and props. Lessons will be short to keep from overwhelming the children and activities will change often throughout class to keep interest. We will play fun yes/no games, sing songs and/or watch video clips, and have a lot of rich language discussion. I will provide crafts to complete before class to help make class interactive and fun. It will also for fun games and interaction.

The class is intended to be highly interactive. I will assess each student’s pronunciation individually and make corrections as needed.  At times, I may ask if the students have a prop related to the class. For example, “Tienes buenos días? (Do you have good morning?) This is a great way to asses their understanding and make class a little more exciting! Recordings of vocabulary and key sentences will be given in the classroom group chat to be studied from at home. No prior knowledge is needed to attend this class.
