What's included

8 hrs 15 mins in-class hours
Homework
2-4 hours per week. Student will be required to develop their science fair topic and then execute their science fair project.
Grading
Teacher will provide feedback on the student's science fair topic and their weekly development of their project.

Intermediate Level
1. What will be taught? Students will delve deeper into the details of what the Scientific Method is and how it came to be used as the standard for science experimentation. 
2. What topics will you cover? The student will gain a broader grasp of the required steps of the scientific method in preparation for their science fair.
4. How will I teach? I will present slides and the students will be asked to verify their comprehension with oral reviews. 
5. What is your teaching style? I ask that students engage in the class by participating in the reading of the slide material.
6. Students will be allowed to not only initiate conversations with the teacher, but collaborate with their peers as they hear the potential projects of their peers.
7. Required experience of background knowledge? Students must have completed Science Fair 1 before enrolling in Science Fair 2.

Lesson 1:
The Scientific Method Process
 Now that you have completed the first Scientific Method course, let’s delve deeper into understanding the Scientific Method.

Logbook, Problem/Question, hypothesis, and procedure
 Let’s review your 1st logbook. Do you have a new or revised problem/question, hypothesis, and procedure?

Lesson 3:
Review of your logbook, problem/question, research, hypothesis , and procedure
 Have you started your new logbook entries?If this is a continuation, you can add to the previous logbook. Have you formulated your new or revised problem/question? Did you conduct your background research? What is your hypothesis? How should you conduct your experimental procedure? 
If you are revising your 1st project, what future steps did you suggest that could now be implemented?

Lesson 4:
Test your hypothesis
 After defining your variables, materials, and procedure, you can begin to conduct your experiment and collect data. If you are revising your 1st project, we must see significant changes to this 2nd attempt.

Other Details

Pre-Requisites
Student must have completed Full Course: Scientific Method 1: Pursuing a Science Fair Project. Students must have submitted a written paper and poster board at the conclusion of that class.
Supply List
Students will be required to provide all the necessary supplies for their project. They will also be required to supply the poster display board and materials to design this board.
