Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
- Yoga poses and sequences for flexibility and balance ( i.e. Sun Salutations, Triangle Pose (Trikonasana), Tree Pose (Vrksasana) among others)
- Various body weight exercises (Squat Hops, Standing Oblique Crunches, Up Downs, among others)
- Proper positioning and alignment (Ensuring safe and effective exercises and yoga routines)
- Endurance (Teacher encouragement and group participation promotes higher levels of engagement and endurance)
- Mindfulness (Using techniques from yoga, we can bring more mindful awareness to improve all aspects of our health)
All Yoga Kid Collective teachers have undergone basic CEU Yoga Alliance certified training covering kids yoga competency. We always prioritize safety first and encourage learners to "listen to their bodies" when it comes to trying new poses and exercises.

Whitney, the head of Yoga Kid Collective, is a certified and experienced yoga instructor (200-hour E-RYT) with more than a thousand hours of teaching experience. She owns and operates the online kids yoga and fitness studio, Yoga Kid Collective. She loves working out and loves teaching yoga. She teaches from a trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive lens while also providing a fun and active class experience.

Water Appropriate workout clothing A yoga mat would be helpful, but it's not required.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Whenever students are performing yoga as part of a fitness routine, please be advised of any potential hazards (including, but not limited to, needing an open workout space, slip proof socks or bare feet, a mat, and proper clothing ). Injuries can occur if not properly supervised, such as slips or bumps.
