This full-body workout class is accessible to all ability levels and no equipment is required for the class. Exercises are functional, bodyweight exercises adaptable for different fitness levels. The class will begin with a warm-up designed to increase heart rate, calm the nervous system, and fortify against injuries. The main portion of the class will include high-intensity exercises, controlled strength exercises, and active flexibility exercises. The class will end with a cool-down period incorporating stretching and mobility exercises to maintain muscular and joint health. The exercises in this class are designed to improve strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility to promote healthy bodies. Each workout is designed to be fun, engaging, challenging, and rewarding. The exact workout plan will vary from class to class to keep each session fresh, however, the underlining objectives will remain constant. Throughout each class, students will perform exercises targeting the core, larger muscle groups such as triceps and quads, as well as smaller, stabilizing muscles in order to protect the body against injury and maintain a balanced body. Please contact me if your child has any injuries, pains, disabilities, or fears that might affect the exercises they can participate in during class so that I can be prepared with alternative exercises ahead of our meeting time.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a fitness coach and professional acrobat passionate about health and fitness. During my time as a middle school science teacher, I integrated a more prominent fitness unit into the life science curriculum to help students learn about the health benefits of exercise and the variety of exercise types that are vital to the growing body as well as into adulthood. Additionally, I have been teaching fitness, gymnastics, and circus arts for 10 years to students aged 5-55 through a variety of camps, afterschool programs, gyms, recreational and professional institutions. I have experience teaching large groups, small classes, and private lessons, and have developed programs for one-on-one clients and recreational group classes. As a professional athlete, I combined my personal experience with practices learned from a variety of fitness and health professionals including physiotherapists, sports trainers, personal trainers, coaches, and teachers to create a well-rounded and inclusive exercise program.
