2-4 hours per week. Students will have a small amount of homework to complete for their success in the class. It will be individual work. Typically, I'll assign 5-10 homework questions at maximum.Assessment
Students will learn nine chapters of Algebra 2 which include a mid-chapter quiz, a test, and homework assignments for each lesson. Homework assignments will be graded based on completion. Students will receive a letter grade based on the aforementioned assignments. They will receive a grade update through the Outschool chat feature after every test that they turn in. Assignment Weights: Homework (20%) Quizzes (30%) Tests (50%) The scale is subject to change only to benefit the students.Grading
I send students a Word Document with a table that outlines each assignment, score, and notes whether it's requested or not. Students have to send me photos of their work if they'd like me to grade them. I grade all homework assignments based on completion. Students can grade their own work as well if they'd prefer a different grading scale than the one I use. We go over every single homework, test, and quiz problem within the class recordings. It is recommended that they check their work with a red pen and follow my grading, but they can choose to grade however best fits their needs.Class Experience

Intermediate Level
In this 20-week self-paced course on Algebra 2, students will receive the full Algebra 2 curriculum within the videos posted. Each video will be approximately 10-40 minutes, depending on the type of video. The 40 minute videos most often include test checks, quiz checks, or homework checks which make them longer. I go over each and every problem with the students. Within each video, we will go over homework, take notes on the next lesson, complete problems related to the lesson, and be given homework questions to go over in the next video. Zoom will be used to take class recordings while all recordings involve slide-lecturing with note-taking of relevant vocabulary and problem solving. Some recordings may include helpful videos and/or pictures to help students better understand concepts. After watching a recording, students will complete homework assignments to turn in online which are graded based on completion. Students can turn homework in via chat or through the discussion thread that is related to the assignment. Once we complete every lesson in a chapter, I'll record a short review session before showing a test in a recording. Once students complete a test, they will turn it in online to be graded. Before entering the class, students need to know Algebra 1 common core concepts which are given in the Full Algebra 1 Self-Paced Course that I offer on Outschool. Class Structure 5-15 minute homework review 10-25 minutes instruction Students will have about 4 recordings per week to watch according to the schedule in the syllabus. The last two weeks, they will have only 3 recordings to view and complete work.
