This course is designed to go through all of the 7th Grade Common Core Math Standards in a year. To make it easier on parents, I have divided the course into 5 sections. Three sections will take place starting August 31st to November 13th and the last two sections will take place from January 11th to March 19th. Students will draw, construct, and describe geometrical figures and describe the relationships between them. Students will also solve real-life and mathematical problems involving angle measure, area, surface area, and volume.
I have a Bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University in Mid-Level Education with an emphasis in Math and Science.
One practice sheet will be given as homework after each class. We will review the homework sheet at the beginning of each class.
Paper & Pencil Printer to print off homework sheets.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Two quizzes will be given to assess student learning. I will grade these so that you can see your child's progress.
2 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Some of the material I will be using comes from the "Big Ideas 7th Grade Math" book. I used this to teach in my B&M class. The majority of the material given to students will have been created by me.
