Class experience
For French learners we will have a fun class to celebrate Halloween! Students do not need to have any prior language experience, but those with 1-3 years may enjoy it best! Students will learn a song "C'est L'Halloween", analyze vocabulary in the song and practice the lyrics. Then, we will talk about the expression "j'ai peur" I'm scared and think about fun Halloween vocabulary to practice saying "I'm scared or I'm not scared". Don't worry-nothing too scary will be shown! Students will work on French listening skills to deduce meaning from a song about Halloween. Students will build vocabulary about words related to Halloween in French. Students will be able to use the avoir expression 'j'ai peur' to express fear in French. Students will be more culturally aware about how the French do and don't celebrate Halloween.
I have a M.A in French Language, Literature & Culture. I have a B.A in Education and have taught in public schools and colleges for over 12 years.
