In this one-time seasonal fall course we will cover 22 different perennial and annual crop species that grow best and typically yield harvestable fruits in autumn or fall.

Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will be able to name and identify common and scientific names of popular perennial and annual crops that grow best and are harvested in the fall season. We will cover terms like annual, perennial, toothed, lobed, lanceolate, serrated, alternate, pubescent, stamen, rhisome, tuber, root, fruit, bulb, and gourd as it pertains to plant science and the species covered in class.
I have my Bachelor's degree in horticulture and greenhouse management from Iowa State University.
No supplies are necessary for this course. Pen, pencil, and paper for note taking is always encouraged though! Slide pages will be posted to the class for printing at home if desired.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of this course.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In this class we will be using a third-party service called Canva. We will be reading and taking notes from slides designed and presented in Canva. Presentation will be screenshared online through Google Chrome and Zoom engines. No account for Canva is needed. Students may see teacher switch from Zoom to Canva on desktop to present for class.
