Frozen Ballet With Miss Lexa
In this Frozen themed ballet class students will be introduced to basic ballet steps, play a royal game, and learn a ballet dance to the song "Into the Unknown". With a focus on creative movement and socialization, this is the perfect one-time class to explore ballet with Frozen characters!
Class experience
In this action-packed 30-minute class, we’ll explore ballet and creative movement with Frozen music and dances! At the start of class, we’ll say a quick hello so we can get to know each other. We’ll warm-up our bodies, learn ballet basics (plie, tendu & passe), and play a creative movement game that lets us each show off our royal personalities. We’ll spend the last portion of the class learning a ballet dance that is fit for a queen to the song "Into the Unknown" from Frozen 2. At the end...
Actively participate in movement to support motor skills and social-emotional development and learn basic ballet steps.
I’ve been teaching ballet and creative movement to young students for over six years at studios and afterschool programs in California and Missouri. I also hold an Associate’s Degree in Child Development and a Group Fitness Instructor certification.
Dancers are welcome to wear a leotard and tights, their favorite princess dress-up costume, or moveable street clothes. Ballet shoes are recommended but bare feet are also welcomed! A distraction-free space where you can freely and safely move is also recommended.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Dance is a physical activity and participation should always be done with parental supervision. Dancing on a flat surface that is free of clutter helps to minimize risk. If the student has an injury or health condition that is agitated by physical activity, please consult a physician before participating.
