Class Experience
In the first few minutes of class, each child will be greeted one at a time. We will begin with fun and engaging games and exercises that will wake up and stretch our bodies, while listening to our favorite Frozen Tunes! Our warm up will start on the floor with basic Ballet stretches. We will then work on movement through basic gross motor skills through a dance game. We will move onto a standing exercise, that will include basic ballet steps and more dance games will follow! We will end...
Your child will learn beginner ballet dance steps in a creative and positive learning environment. They will also learn choreography to a short ballet dance which will teach them various patterns. Dancing to music also teaches the student how to develop rhythm and musicality. And most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!
There will be no homework assigned. However, students are encouraged to share their love of dance with others!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please make sure your child is in an area where they can move around freely. Also, having a water bottle nearby during class is encouraged. Students will want to be in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in and hair pulled back. By signing up for this class you should understand that when participating in any exercise or dance program, there is the possibility of physical injury.
