We’ll dive into basic vocabulary related to winter and holiday themes, learning essential French words through engaging and memorable activities. Through pictures and short video clips of snowy weather, students will learn to describe different weather types in French. 🧣 𝕎𝕖𝕖𝕜 𝟛: 𝕎𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕣 ℂ𝕝𝕠𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕤 / 𝕃𝕖𝕤 𝕍𝕖𝕥𝕖𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤 𝕕’ℍ𝕚𝕧𝕖𝕣 Here we explore vocabulary for winter clothing, including “écharpe” (scarf), “manteau” (coat), and “gants” (gloves). Students will learn how these holidays are celebrated in France and practice holiday greetings in French. 🥧 𝕎𝕖𝕖𝕜 𝟞: ℍ𝕠𝕝𝕚𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕋𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕥 𝔽𝕠𝕠𝕕𝕤 / 𝕃𝕖𝕤 𝔽𝕣𝕚𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕚𝕤𝕖𝕤 𝕕𝕖 ℕ𝕠𝕖𝕝 Our last week is dedicated to delicious holiday treats like “chocolat chaud” (hot chocolate) and “biscuits” (cookies). Students will learn these words through a fun presentation, a simple recipe video, and a holiday treats matching game. 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 Each class will be interactive and varied, combining lecture, games, and activities. We’ll use slides, pictures, and songs to reinforce vocabulary and provide students with worksheets to practice at home. My teaching style is fun, engaging, and productive! I’ll use storytelling, songs, and role-playing to keep students immersed and interested. There will be lots of opportunities for interaction, including discussion, video clips, and group games, to help students build their confidence in French while celebrating the winter season.
Learning Goals
Students will confidently greet each other using “Bonjour” and “Au revoir,” and introduce themselves with simple phrases like “Je m'appelle…,” building a foundation for French conversation.
By the end of the class, students will be able to describe winter weather conditions in French, such as “Il neige” (It’s snowing) and “Il fait froid” (It’s cold), with vocabulary-matching games to reinforce learning.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance and support may sometimes be required to supervise young learners. We may need help using various stationary items (i.e., scissors, stapler etc.), or preparing materials before class.
Pre-Requisites
This class is designed for beginners and serves as a foundational introduction, making it accessible to new learners. However, familiarity with basic reading is preferred to help students engage with the materials.
Supply List
A weekly material list will be provided to you prior to the class, in preparation for the following week of classes. Learners are responsible for having the listed materials on hand and printed worksheets ready. If learners are missing a material, alternative suggestions can be provided. Classes will typically require commonly found household items or stationary such as: pencil, eraser, highlighter, scissors, stapler, glue etc.
