Description

Class Experience

Students will learn how to use frosting decorating tools in order to decorate cupcakes like a pro baker.
I am a K-6 elementary teacher and have a baking business on the weekends. Baking has been my hobby for years and I look forward to baking with new friends!
Students may want to share their decorated cupcakes with loved ones.
Minimum of 3 piping bags (I like the ilauke brand found on Amazon) Tips 1M, 352, 102, coupler Icing spatula or dull knife 1 store-bought creamy vanilla frosting container (not whipped) 1/4 cup powdered sugar 1 large mixing bowl 1 rubber spatula (scraper) Small bowls - not breakable Tall cup - sturdy plastic Food coloring - must be gel Scissors Paper towels or napkins Sprinkles (optional)
Learner progress is assessed informally and positive feedback is provided throughout class.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need to use either an icing spatula or a dull knife when filling the frosting bags, so parental guidance is required if your child is using a knife. Students will need to cut the end of their frosting bag so parental guidance is required while using scissors.
