In this interactive class, learners will be exposed to three famous philosophers from Ancient Greece (Socrates, Plato and Aristotle.) We will discuss where they were from, who they studied with, what their contributions and main teachings were and we will discuss what we think about them using our own critical thinking abilities. We will look at some famous paintings that depict these Greek philosophers such as The School of Athens by Raphael and also look at some key figures that were related to these philosophers such as Alexander the Great. Comments and questions are welcome throughout the presentation and open ended discussion questions will be asked frequently. At the end we will test our knowledge with a quiz and short video. This class is very suitable for beginners to the subject or those who are also interested in Greek Mythology.
