In this one time course students will learn the life cycle of an apple through guided movement. One of the best ways for young students to learn is through movement. In this class, we will combine song, dance/movements, narratives, and non-fiction information to learn about the life cycle of an apple. We will begin with a short stretch/warm-up session an discussion of the life cycle by reading / listening to short sentences and looking at pictures for each part. As we learn each step of the life cycle, students will learn the movement for that part. As we learn each part, we will begin to put the movements together and by the end students will be able to talk about the life cycle of an apple. *Students will be doing simple movements such as stretching, fetal position, crawling, standing, and moving their arms. Although they can do these movements in a limited space setting, it is recommended to have some space to move around in. The movements are not strenuous, but please be advised that we will be moving around on the ground and standing with our arms open wide.
Learning Goals
