In this one month survey session, students will explore the elements of modern pop culture.

Class experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner - Advanced Level
Students will learn about and discuss the general, various aspects that comprise pop culture.  Students will hopefully become more aware and cognizant of the prevalence of pop culture in our daily lives, and how it shapes culture as a whole.

Homework Offered
After the session, students are encouraged to further explore on their own other interesting facts about pop culture!

In surveying trends or events--particularly news events--some particulars of pop culture may detail mature subject matter (the assassinations of JFK and MLK, Jr., for example).  Interested younger students are welcome provided that parents/guardians are okay with occasional provocative content.
