Certificate of Completion
Students will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course only after submitting their ‘Your Action Plan!’ worksheet for review. This certificate highlights key skills learned and serves as a personal reminder of their habit-building plan.

In this self-paced class, students will learn how to turn their goals into daily habits using simple, proven strategies. We will explore the Habit Loop (Cue, Routine, Reward), Habit Stacking, and time-blocking to help students stay consistent and make progress.

What will be taught?

How habits are formed and why they matter
The Habit Loop: Cue, Routine, Reward
Habit Stacking: How to build new habits into your routine
Time-blocking strategies for better focus and productivity
How to stay motivated and adjust habits when needed
How is the class structured?

Brief introduction and discussion on habits and routines
Guided breakdown of The Habit Loop and Habit Stacking
Interactive activity: Students identify and build a new habit
Reflection and discussion on how to apply what they’ve learned

How will I teach?

I use visual aids, slides, guided video lessons, and structured exercises to break down concepts in an easy-to-follow format. Students will work through engaging activities to apply their learning in real life.

How much will learners interact?

This is a self-paced course, meaning students complete lessons independently. However, they are encouraged to participate by:
✔ Messaging the teacher with questions or reflections
✔ Submitting their 'Your Action Plan!' worksheet for feedback
✔ Engaging in classroom discussions to share insights

While this is not the live session, I actively respond to questions and provide personalized feedback on submitted work. This class is offered for live participation as well.

Teaching Style:

My teaching style is supportive and engaging, designed to encourage independent thinking and self-reflection. Students will receive real-world examples, clear explanations, and step-by-step strategies to help them successfully apply the concepts.

Lesson 1:
What is a Habit & Why Does It Matter?
 Understanding how habits form and their role in success
Identifying positive and negative habits
Activity: Self-reflection exercise on current habits 
Lesson 2:
The Habit Loop – Cue, Routine, Reward
 Breaking down the three parts of a habit
How to recognize and modify bad habits
Activity: Identify a personal habit and break it into the Habit Loop 
6 mins of video lessons
Lesson 3:
Habit Stacking – How to Build New Habits That Stick
 Using existing routines to add new positive habits
Habit Stacking formula: "After I [existing habit], I will [new habit]."
Activity: Create a Habit Stack for a new habit 
Lesson 4:
Time-Blocking – Organizing Your Day for Success
 Scheduling habits using Time-Blocking
How to avoid distractions and stay consistent
Activity: Create a daily or weekly time-blocking schedule 

Other Details

Learning Needs
This class supports unique learning needs, including ADHD, Dyslexia, and ASD. I use visual aids, multi-sensory activities, clear instructions, positive reinforcement, and tailored mindfulness techniques to help all learners succeed.
Pre-Requisites
No prior experience is needed! This class is great for anyone looking to build better habits and improve time management. Taking my SMART Goals class first is helpful but not required. All students are welcome!
Supply List
All materials will be supplied digitally, and no additional purchases are required. A printable worksheet will be provided in the classroom announcement section. Learners should have a pen or pencil and a quiet space for focused participation.

I have over 20 years of experience in education, supporting district leadership and teaching students from Pre-K through 8th grade. I hold a New Jersey Substitute Teaching Certification and have completed professional courses in Time Management, Productivity, and Mindfulness.

In addition to my educational background, I have firsthand experience applying habit-building and time management strategies in real-world settings—from running my own virtual assistant business to balancing professional and personal responsibilities. I have also supported my children's diverse learning needs, including one with autism and another with ADHD, which has deepened my understanding of how structured habits and routines can help learners of all abilities succeed.

My experience in both educational and administrative roles has equipped me to effectively teach habit formation, time management, and mindful productivity in a way that is accessible, practical, and engaging for all learners.
